La-Z-Link if what you say is true - then a cylinder head that seats with the diameter of the runner in theory will produce more peak power I suppose ... no argument there .. who is that target audiance and are you providing the dimensions so that prospective buyers can port match the head to the manifold ..if so ..I guess in theory this is just another extension of taking a 2.5 inch exhaust and increasing it to 3 inch exhaust ... I for one would prefer to know this if I were building an engine with the intention of getting AMS manifolds .. I would go the extra yard and get the port matching done .. but let's assume that a customer doesn't port match the diameter of their head to the AMS manifolds -- is it a "good thing" to have manifold runners that are wider than the open chamber of the head ? What if any are the adverse impacts to flow characteristics [ turbulance and velocity ] ? I am truly asking not implying anything with the question.
